Walking along an empty street in the interior of British Columbia last night, I found myself in aw of how the entire perception of our surroundings changes in the dark. Artificial light fills the streets and illuminates the surrounding landscapes so my made-for-daytime eyes can confirm my brain that I am safe.
A million stars shining down on us cannot replicate the puniest fraction of the light of day. We are creatures of the light, yet we want to know the unknown.
Life resembles the light. Indeed, the freaks come out at night.
